This April, we are hosting a short film night at Crack Bellmer! Our goal is to give young filmmakers a platform to share their work and for the audience to dive into the world of short films. After the screenings, there will be time to exchange thoughts with fellow film lovers and network with other filmmakers over drinks and music provided by DJs
SHORT MOVIES:
1. "Kirschen Essen" 17min - directed by Nandi Nastasja
Logline: Als die Jurastudentin Mara, die sich seit einem Missbrauch in ihrer Kindheit sowohl körperlich als auch emotional auf niemanden einlassen kann, mit dem neuen Liebesglück ihres gesühnten Vergewaltigers konfrontiert wird, bedrängt sie die Frage nach Recht und Gerechtigkeit.
Die Fragestellung, die ich in das Zentrum des Films stellen will, lautet: „Gibt es Gerechtigkeit?“
2. "Creatures of Life" 19min - directed by Alessa Müller,
The documentary "Creatures of Life" takes viewers into the fascinating world of drag as an art form and shows its profound significance for the queer community and the artists who live it. With vivid portraits of three extraordinary performers from Berlin's drag scene, the film delves into the diversity, creativity and courage that defines this culture.
3. "Brot Opa" 3min - directed by Zejna
“Brot Opa” is a well-known figure around Hermannplatz. Every day, he collects leftover bread from bakeries and distributes it to people in need. This short film is a portrait of him and his social contribution.
4. "Orgy Every Other Day" 13min - directed by Samuel Döring
Ready, sex, go: this short film dives into New York City's underground sex party scene, going beyond the well-documented world of gay male sex parties to showcase NYC's diverse queer underground sex party scene.
5. "Über Heimkehr und Fremde" 16min - directed by Laura Russ
"Über Heimkehr und Fremde" is a personal essay film in which the narrator reflects on the experience of travelling, in particular the importance of so-called 'third spaces' in cities.

More than two decades of despair, beauty, and heartache have not only shaped but fueled Finnish melancholy torchbearers, the chart-topping and two-time Finnish Grammy nominated Swallow The Sun. Formed in Jyväskylä in 2000, the quintet has enjoyed numerous fan-lauded music videos (10+ million YouTube views) and streaming dominance (50+ million Spotify plays), while also embarking on a four-continent, 900-show run throughout their 23-year career. The new album, Shining, however, is the group’s first step on the new path to the unknown. Marking 23 years of their musical progression, Shining also symbolizes the band’s pride and resilience, showcasing their brightest and strongest work to date. This album is a testament to Swallow the Sun’s artistic legacy, intertwining existential reflections with their characteristic majestic sound. Shining – or the “Black Album” of Death Doom, as the bassist Matti Honkonen calls this album – was produced and mixed by Dan Lancaster, mastered by Tony Lindgren (Fascination Street Studios), and recorded by Juho Räihä at SoundSpiral Audio, except vocals recorded by Dan Lancaster. The artwork is by Rami Mursula.

Also kommt zahlreich, für den einzig wahren Rummelbumms!

hyphen invite for another round of unique rolling b2bs with some of the most interesting artists of Berlin’s underground. This time we focus on dubby and hypnotic techno in an intimate setting.
Overlapping sets create an unbroken flow of music from start to end: each DJ curates an hour of their own sound behind the decks, blending into the next artist's set with a period of b2b exchange. Expect an uninterrupted stream of music, heating up and branching out as the night goes on.  
BGA opens the night with a vinyl mix showcasing a slice of his obsession.
Three Berlin-based producers build the core of the lineup: Ian Maur, Jack’s Trip, and vauna. All known for a hypnotic, energetic yet deep and raw style of techno — their distinct yet overlapping tastes will blend across a span of four hours and a diversity of influences.
HALBTROCKEN is known for her wicked bass music sets and confidence in throwing a curveball. She and Lorel take over the closing to bring one more burst of energy.

Gaerea ist ein Black-Metal-Quintett aus Portugal. Die Band wurde Anfang 2016 gegründet, veröffentlichte die Band ihre erste (selbstbetitelte) EP am 11. November 2016 über Everlasting Spew Records. Die EP erhielt viel Lob von der weltweiten Presse und es dauerte nicht lange, bis das erste Full Length „Unsettling Whispers“ (2018) präsentiert wurde. Dieses wurde, wie auch die nachfolgenden Alben „Limbo“ (2020) und „Mirage“ (2022), von Kritikern und Fans mit Lob überhäuft und machte Gaerea schnell zu der Speerspitze des modernen Black Metals. Nur zwei Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung von „Mirage“ bricht Gaerea mit Intensität aus und wirft erneut schwarze Asche über die Welt. Ihre neueste Veröffentlichung, „Coma“ markiert einen umfassenden Wandel. Ein emotionales Tor zu einer dunklen Black-Metal-Szene, ein Leitfaden zu Erlösung, Schmerz, Verzweiflung und Loslassen. Aufwärts, in die Schwärze, die darüber ist. GAEREA ist die Antwort, die einzige Antwort. In den zehn Tracks von „Coma“ liegt eine individuelle Erzählung, von der jeder seine eigene Geschichte zu enthüllen hat. Auch ihre Live-Shows sind mittlerweile schon legendär und versprechen eine einzigartige Atmosphäre!
 

Hoist the Jolly Roger! YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS take no prisoners. With 'First Night Back In Port' a loose merger of ruffians and raiders will take you back into the cruel world of the 18th century. Be prepared for rough times where pirates dominated the seven seas. With the help of Irish and Skandinavian folk as well as raw punk they brew stormy sea chanties. None of their sprees is as alike as two peas in a pod. YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS count 30 crew members. At least a dozen of these buccaneers arm themselves to the teeth with fiddle, banjo and accordion on any of their feasts. All of them with grumpy gorges but hearts made of gold when they sing against laws and nations. If this pack of rags and tricorns ask for a dance no gums stay dry, no peg legs stiff. Smoky gullets join in unique sounds of long forgotten days - a time travel back to honest and moving music.Joining them is Berlin’s DEKADENZA, who bring a fresh twist to metal with their groovy blend of cello, saxophone, bass, and drums. Expect high-energy, genre-bending tracks with virtuosic performances and passionate lyrics.

We kindly ask you to respect that the space behind the decks is exclusively for FLINTA*.x What musical styles are allowed?Whatever floats your boat - But please be mindful of the impact your music might have on other people. Hard & fast musical styles are potentially stressful, especially in the early evening hours.x How long are the playtimes?between 30mins and 1 hour.x Is there a dance floor?Not really. there's a ping pong table on the dancefloor - no one's gonna stop you from dancing around it.x Can I bring my laptop and controller?No. Please don't plug any external devices into our mixer.
